Dashing Through The Neighborhood
I was ground driving our miniature horse this morning I took this opportunity to think about all the things I accomplished this year and what next year will look like for our farm. This time last year I was dreaming of my new horse Sass and planning my trip to Florida to pick her up! This was a new adventure for me as she is trained predominately as a driving horse and not a riding horse but I was super excited to learn this new skill with her! We also purchased a miniature horse that drives and sometimes rides for the kiddos and I have so loved driving him. We lost our daughters first pony dickens which was a huge blow for us as he was our only horse who really enjoyed letting the kids ride him. We ended up getting a Belgian draft horse to let kids and other people ride and we absolutely love Maggie! It has been a huge learning curve with Maggie as drafts are vastly different than regular horses I am finding but we are learning and enjoying it as well.
This year we had a full season of yoga on the farm with our llama Waylon and our lambs from this year. Next year we hope to have a full yoga season as well and next year I will also be teaching yoga as I decided to go ahead and do my yoga teacher training this year. We will be buying some new sheep this year and can’t wait to see what they will bring to our farm. We are also in search of a new friend for Waylon so he won’t have to be a lonely llama anymore.
